Payment and Financial Agreement
I am in-network with Anthem Blue Cross California, Blue Shield of California, Carelon Behavioral Health, Magellan, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Quest Behavioral Health, and Aetna through Headway. If you would like to use insurance please visit my Headway profile to schedule a consultation.
For all other insurance companies I am considered an out-of-network provider. If your insurance plan has mental health benefits for out-of-network services, I can provide you with a monthly superbill that you can submit for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company about your mental health benefits and how much reimbursement you are entitled to.
I accept payment through IvyPay, a HIPAA-compliant service specifically tailored for therapy practices. Before our first session, you will receive a text from IvyPay asking you to put a card on a file. If you do not complete this before we meet, it is expected to be done at the beginning of our time together. Your card will be charged the full session fee after each session, even for those who receive superbills.
My current fee for a weekly 50- 55 minute session is $200.
No Surprises act: Good Faith Estimate Policy
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
